I have worked both ends of the college transition. I began my career as a high school special education teacher and case manager, and then worked as a learning disabilities specialist at Simmons College and Rutgers University. I now work as a learning specialist at Columbia University, where I help students with time management, organization, reading, and study skills.
I am the author of From High School to College: Steps to Success for Students with Disabilities, published by the Council for Exceptional Children, and a laminated guide on this topic, published National Professional Resources. See my advice for parents here and other published work here on my main site, LDadvisory.
In addition to my writing and consulting activities, I also present programs to families and professionals on transition to college for students with disabilities, speaking locally and at national conferences. See topics I cover here.
